Happy 25th Birthday Joe Brooks! ♥

The title says it all. This post is specially dedicated to my one and only Joe Brooks. It's his 25th birthday today! :D

So for today, I'm gonna do something a lil different. I'm gonna blog about how I came to know bout Joe and how I fell in love with this amazing English lad :D

I was in Form 3 when I first heard about him. That was in 2010. I remember I skipped school that day and I was on Facebook. I then came to his Facebook page and back in those days, they had this tab which you can listen to the artist's music. The first song there was Superman. So, I tried playing it. Just as it came on, I immediately fell in love with the song and his voice!

From that day on, I became hardcore and declared myself as a Brookie :D

Then came a video of him saying that he might be coming to Asia! I was so freaking happy when I heard about it. I even blogged about it! Here's the video :)

Immediately, I signed the petition and crossed my fingers hoping that he'll really come to Malaysia :D Then I waited and waited and waited. Somewhere in there, his songs got played on local radio stations. One step closer to bringing him here!

In the mid of December 2011, this video came out :D

I swear I died of happiness! Immediately I begged my Mum to buy a ticket to go see him! And that's exactly what my Mum did :D Lucky me, I even won Meet & Greet passes! I almost cried when I received the email saying that I won those passes. Anddddd that's how I met my awesome-one-in-a-million-super-duper-hot-and-cute BOYFRIEND :D

Here's a video of me wishing him, Happy Birthday :D

And here's a video of everyone in the #BrooksTribe family wishing him Happy Birthday :)

Once again, Happy Birthday Joe! I love you SO SO SO SO MUCH! You are one in a million and I will always support you no matter what happens. Have a great one and Jesus loves you :)

Peace & love, bye :)

Holiday or Holi-boo?

Hi :D I thought I should update my blog before I leave for a week. If you didn't know already, I'm going to Beijing, China for a week. Well, 6 days to be exact. This trip is specially planned by my mum & aunt for my grandparents.

I don't really feel the excitement of it. Not trying to be selfish but I kinda sacrificed a few of my last events in school for this trip. I'm sacrificing my last year of Choir for the trip. The Choir competition this year is on the 24th of April & I won't be here. Well, that's fine cause I performed for Speech Day.

The thing I really feel upset is I'm gonna miss photography week! When the school announced it today, I was like 'NO!!! I WON'T BE HERE! ARRRGGGHHHH!!!' If you don't know what photography week is, it's the week where we take pictures of our Clubs & Society members for our yearbook. Since this is my last year, I won't have the chance to take anymore of those pictures! So depressing :/

Moving on, I wanna watch Titanic in 3D so bad! I heard it's really good. Will try going tomorrow. Hope it works out.  That's all for now. Will update more when I'm back. Peace & love. Bye!

You Are The Apple of My Eye (那些年,我们一起追的女孩)

I normally don't watch Mandarin movies or TV series cause ;

1. I don't really understand Mandarin.
It's not that I don't understand it entirely. I can speak, write and read Mandarin but I think only 30% of it? Haha :D Just so you know, I only learned Mandarin in kindergarten and that was like 12 years ago? Plus, I've only joined the class for a year. So, it's considered not bad right?

2. My friends do not keep up with Mandarin entertainment.
Not that I don't have friends who watch Mandarin shows, it's just that most of my friends don't understand Mandarin like me. So, this makes me lose interest also? Haha

BUT, that changed when the movie You Are The Apple of My Eye (那些年,我们一起追的女孩) came out. That title might not catch your heart at first sight but trust me, spare some time to watch it and you'll want more of it. That's exactly what happened to me.

My friend, Khaleeja went and watch it with a friend the week it came out in the theaters. She is a Malay and this means she doesn't understand Mandarin, at all. When the movie finished, she texted me asking me to go watch the movie. She was just so in to it haha.

Then, my brother went and watch it. He came home and told me that it was awesome. My brother is a guy who doesn't really get impressed with things. When he say that a certain thing is awesome that means it must be very very very very out of this world.

With both of their 'recommendation', I decided to download the movie after so long haha. I watched it and it was really AMAZING! Such a sweet movie ♥ I kinda cried a little too haha. Here's a picture of the movie poster for you all to see.

And this are the main characters. Main guy : Chen-Tung Ko & main girl : Michelle Chen . This is the front cover of the novel too.

Here's the theme song for the movie. 那些年 by 胡夏

So yeah, go watch the movie! It's very nice and sweet and romantic! Don't worry if you don't understand Mandarin. You can always read the subtitles :) You won't regret watching it, I promise. Peace & love. Bye x
